Hotel Rantapuisto is a popular wedding venue, where sea views and the tranquillity of nature create an unforgettable setting. Our atmospheric event spaces, terrace, grounds and private beach are all yours to enjoy, and the celebrations can continue seamlessly outdoors. Our experienced team will take care of every detail to match your wishes. For weddings with over 50 guests, the couple receives a complimentary stay in a sea-view room with late checkout. Almost all summer 2027 wedding dates are already booked, but there are still dates available in May, the most beautiful month of spring. Summer 2028 dates are also being booked quickly.

Weddings can also be celebrated in winter, when the winter sea and candlelight create a magnificent atmosphere all of their own.

Winter weddings

Atmospheric winter weddings at Hotel Rantapuisto

Winter and off-season weddings offer the chance to create something truly different, peaceful and fairy-tale beautiful. Large windows in the Ballroom and Restaurant Furu open onto sea and forest views, while fireplaces complete the atmosphere. The red-brick Cellar Restaurant is also ideal for smaller gatherings.


Off-season benefit: From December to April, we offer the Cellar Restaurant free of charge as an after-party venue for wedding receptions with at least 50 guests, until 1:00 am (offer valid until the end of 2027).

Frequently asked questions & floor plans

  • Is there a booking fee for weddings?
    • We don’t charge a separate booking fee.
    • We’ll send an advance invoice 14 days before your wedding day.
    • The advance invoice will be approximately 70% of the total wedding cost.
    • The remaining balance is payable at the hotel.
  • Can we hold the wedding ceremony at the venue?
    • The ceremony can be held on the terrace of Restaurant Furu. The terrace has around 30–40 chairs, which can be arranged in rows, while the remaining guests can stand behind.
    • If you choose the ballroom or basement restaurant, the terrace can be rented for the ceremony for €550.
    • Please note that in case of rain, the ceremony can be moved to your own event space, but it will be quite cramped, especially for weddings with over 50 guests, and there will be no room for separate ceremony furniture.
    • Alternatively, a magnificent auditorium is available for indoor ceremonies, subject to availability (€600).
  • Can we bring our own food and drinks?
    • Unfortunately, guests may not bring their own food or drinks.
    • We’ll tailor the catering to your wishes to make sure your celebration is just right for you.
  • Can I taste the food and wines in advance?
    • Unfortunately, we do not offer public tasting sessions.
    • Private tastings are available for an additional fee (from €500).
    • Wedding cakes can be sampled at ph7 locations, and some cakes are also available as individual portions. For more information, please contact ph7 customer service.
    • Wines can be sampled free of charge during the planning meeting.
  • What seating arrangement works best for the space?
    • The ballroom has round tables, with 5–8 guests recommended per table. The wedding couple can sit at the same table as their loved ones or at their own table.
    • Restaurant Furu has long tables for 8–16 guests. A table can be set just for the wedding couple, or a so-called T-shaped table, with the couple seated across the end of the long table.
    • The cellar restaurant has small round tables for 4–5 guests. Long tables are available for an additional charge.

  • When can I decorate the event space?
    • Restaurant Furu serves breakfast daily, so the restaurant can be decorated for your special day from 1 p.m. at the earliest.
    • The function room or cellar restaurant can be decorated the previous day, provided there are no other bookings.
    • You can make an initial enquiry about reserving the space approximately one month before the event. Final confirmation is required one week before the event.
  • What is included in the table setting? Are candles allowed in the venue?
    • The table setting includes crisp white tablecloths, cloth napkins (white or nougat-coloured, as requested), cutlery and glasses.
    • We have a selection of vases, but for a coordinated look we recommend bringing your own.
    • You’re welcome to borrow our clear “Kastehelmi” candle holders (please bring your own candles).
    • Real candles are permitted.
  • Do I need to remove all my belongings / decorations / sound equipment immediately after the wedding reception?
    • Restaurant Furu serves breakfast, so the venue must be cleared immediately after the wedding reception ends.
    • You may leave belongings in the banquet hall and basement restaurant overnight at your own risk, if the booking schedule allows. The banquet hall’s swing door cannot be locked.
  • How is housekeeping handled?
    • Hotel staff will take care of the cleaning, except for decorations, sound equipment and gifts that the wedding couple wish to keep.
  • Is there a backstage area for the band or photographer?
    • Furu Restaurant does not have a dedicated backstage area, but a small meeting room can be booked for this purpose for €100/day.
    • The Ulappa private dining room, next to the Banquet Hall, can be used as a backstage area.
    • The Cellar Restaurant has its own backstage area.
  • What kind of sound system is available in the rooms?
    • All rooms have a background music system that lets you play your own music via Bluetooth from a phone in the Ballroom and Cellar Restaurant, or from a tablet or computer. At Restaurant Furu, music can be played via an aux cable.
    • The wedding package includes one microphone for speeches.
    • A separate sound system is required for a band or DJ. You can bring your own or rent one from us for an additional fee through our partners.
