Hotel Rantapuisto is the perfect setting for a seaside celebration, nestled in lush greenery where the scenery is part of the experience. Everything is under one roof: event spaces for gatherings of all sizes, hotel rooms for your guests, and a private beach and jetty for unforgettable moments of celebration and photographs. Our summer terrace and outdoor areas are yours to enjoy, and the entire grounds and beach are licensed for serving alcohol, so the celebrations can continue outdoors. Rantapuisto is the perfect venue for both family celebrations and corporate events, delivered with style and professionalism. It is no coincidence that the setting has also featured as a filming location, for example on the TV show Ensitreffit alttarilla.

Private dining venue Juhlasali
Elegant ballroom with stunning sea views
The elegant Juhlasali is on the second floor of the main building, with stunning sea views from its wraparound balcony. Once a venue for dinners and decision-making by distinguished guests, it now provides the perfect setting for your celebration, whether you have in mind a buffet or a seated meal at round tables, or an elegant cocktail reception. You can enjoy complimentary use of the dance floor, piano, bar and sound system for background music.
Private dining restaurant: Cellar Restaurant
The Cellar Restaurant is a unique, atmospheric red-brick event venue comprising a main hall, two private dining rooms and a billiards room. Its stunning architecture and design evoke a bygone era, and you can admire the seascape from beside the circular dance floor. The Cellar Restaurant is perfect for all kinds of events when you’re looking for a stylish, welcoming and versatile venue. The hall’s nightclub-style bar adds a delightfully retro feel.
Restaurant Furu
Located on the first floor of the main building, Furu is an atmospheric restaurant and event space showcasing 1960s design. The space looks as if it came straight from a design magazine. Its decorative red-pine ceiling retains its original 1960s look, and a fireplace in the centre creates a warm ambience. The stunning sea views can also be admired through the large windows. In summer, the restaurant terrace is open. The space has a bar and parquet flooring.
Ulappa Private Dining Room
Located on the second floor of the main building, Ulappa has hosted dinners and decision-making meetings for many influential figures in the banking world. This inviting dining room features large windows and is well suited to informal meetings as well as celebratory dinners.

The planning and arrangements for the memorial service are always handled individually and respectfully.
Our memorial receptions include a private room, a memorial table, and a beautiful setting with table linens and tea lights.

Frequently asked questions & floor plans
Is there a booking fee for weddings?
- We don’t charge a separate booking fee.
- We’ll send an advance invoice 14 days before your wedding day.
- The advance invoice will be approximately 70% of the total wedding cost.
- The remaining balance is payable at the hotel.
Can we hold the wedding ceremony at the venue?
- The ceremony can be held on the terrace of Restaurant Furu. The terrace has around 30–40 chairs, which can be arranged in rows, while the remaining guests can stand behind.
- If you choose the ballroom or basement restaurant, the terrace can be rented for the ceremony for €550.
- Please note that in case of rain, the ceremony can be moved to your own event space, but it will be quite cramped, especially for weddings with over 50 guests, and there will be no room for separate ceremony furniture.
- Alternatively, a magnificent auditorium is available for indoor ceremonies, subject to availability (€600).
Can we bring our own food and drinks?
- Unfortunately, guests may not bring their own food or drinks.
- We’ll tailor the catering to your wishes to make sure your celebration is just right for you.
Can I taste the food and wines in advance?
- Unfortunately, we do not offer public tasting sessions.
- Private tastings are available for an additional fee (from €500).
- Wedding cakes can be sampled at ph7 locations, and some cakes are also available as individual portions. For more information, please contact ph7 customer service.
- Wines can be sampled free of charge during the planning meeting.
What seating arrangement works best for the space?
- The ballroom has round tables, with 5–8 guests recommended per table. The wedding couple can sit at the same table as their loved ones or at their own table.
- Restaurant Furu has long tables for 8–16 guests. A table can be set just for the wedding couple, or a so-called T-shaped table, with the couple seated across the end of the long table.
- The cellar restaurant has small round tables for 4–5 guests. Long tables are available for an additional charge.

When can I decorate the event space?
- Restaurant Furu serves breakfast daily, so the restaurant can be decorated for your special day from 1 p.m. at the earliest.
- The function room or cellar restaurant can be decorated the previous day, provided there are no other bookings.
- You can make an initial enquiry about reserving the space approximately one month before the event. Final confirmation is required one week before the event.
What is included in the table setting? Are candles allowed in the venue?
- The table setting includes crisp white tablecloths, cloth napkins (white or nougat-coloured, as requested), cutlery and glasses.
- We have a selection of vases, but for a coordinated look we recommend bringing your own.
- You’re welcome to borrow our clear “Kastehelmi” candle holders (please bring your own candles).
- Real candles are permitted.
Do I need to remove all my belongings / decorations / sound equipment immediately after the wedding reception?
- Restaurant Furu serves breakfast, so the venue must be cleared immediately after the wedding reception ends.
- You may leave belongings in the banquet hall and basement restaurant overnight at your own risk, if the booking schedule allows. The banquet hall’s swing door cannot be locked.
How is housekeeping handled?
- Hotel staff will take care of the cleaning, except for decorations, sound equipment and gifts that the wedding couple wish to keep.
Is there a backstage area for the band or photographer?
- Furu Restaurant does not have a dedicated backstage area, but a small meeting room can be booked for this purpose for €100/day.
- The Ulappa private dining room, next to the Banquet Hall, can be used as a backstage area.
- The Cellar Restaurant has its own backstage area.
What kind of sound system is available in the rooms?
- All rooms have a background music system that lets you play your own music via Bluetooth from a phone in the Ballroom and Cellar Restaurant, or from a tablet or computer. At Restaurant Furu, music can be played via an aux cable.
- The wedding package includes one microphone for speeches.
- A separate sound system is required for a band or DJ. You can bring your own or rent one from us for an additional fee through our partners.
