The original part of Hotel Rantapuisto was completed in 1963 and the extension in 1987. The property is protected by the National Board of Antiquities. Due to the age of the building, the property does not meet modern accessibility standards.
Access to the hotel entrance is not accessible. The entrance is not accessible due to the fact that the main door is a pump door.
Hotel rooms
The hotel has two rooms equipped with accessibility features. Both rooms are Standard rooms (15 m2) with one 120 cm bed made for one person. On request, we can also make the bed for two people.
The toilets in the bathrooms are equipped with handrails and there is open space on both sides of the seat. The shower rooms have a shower chair or stool.
The rooms are located in a separate building about 50 meters from the reception. Access to the building is either a) through an indoor walkway or b) through our front yard.
The entrance to the accommodation wing is not accessible, as the entrance doors do not open automatically and not all thresholds are less than 2 cm high. Please note that wheelchair users may need assistance from an assistant to move around our premises.

Other facilities
Restaurant Furu serves as both our breakfast room and à la carte restaurant, and also hosts our conference lunches. Access to the restaurant is restricted due to stairs. Barrier-free access to the restaurant is provided via our kitchen with the assistance of our staff.
The Design Lounge next to the reception is not accessible. There are several stairs leading to the space, and the terrace is also not accessible for the same reason.
The hotel has a toilet equipped with accessibility features, but access is restricted due to the pump door. The toilet is located in the hotel lobby next to the reception. The toilet is spacious and well equipped.
The hotel’s guest sauna is inaccessible.
The seaside sauna is accessible, but there is no access to the pier or the beach for people with reduced mobility. It should be noted that there is a steep downhill slope when entering the sauna and an uphill slope when leaving. The sauna building is accessible, but access is obstructed due to the pump door.
Meeting and banquet facilities
The banquet hall, which operates as a private restaurant, is located on the second floor of our main building. Barrier-free access is provided by our staff using the kitchen elevator.
The basement restaurant is located on the -1 floor and is accessible.
Meeting rooms
The Auditorium, Kuohu, Hyrsky, and Vooku meeting rooms are accessible.
Maininki and group work rooms 6-10 are otherwise accessible, but the threshold is slightly too high at 2.5 cm.
Our Tuuli, Viima, Kallio, Kivi, and Luoto meeting rooms are not accessible.
Parking
There are two accessible parking spaces in front of the hotel’s main entrance. The disabled parking spaces are marked with signs.
